Roger's interest in horses began at a very early age on his grandfather's farm, where cattle, hogs, and mules were raised and hay was produced. His love of horses and mules led him to an advanced education in Agriculture and Business Management, and he has spent the past twenty-three years in positions of managing various aspects of production agriculture and animal nutrition
Today, Roger is Progressive Nutrition's Equine Nutrition Consultant and assists seven Account Manager in six different states with their sales and management of feeds and feeding programs for horses.
Roger's talents include presenting educational seminars to horse owners, breeders and trainers, as well as to veterinary students, equine practitioners and feed suppliers. Recent educational seminars and horse farm visits have been in Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Mississippi, Arkansas and Illinois. A few of his notable Thoroughbred clients in Lexington, Kentucky, include Spendthrift, and Occidental Farms. Some of Roger's Quarter Horse clients include Ron Stratton Quarter Horses, and the Creek Plantation.
Roger and his wife Connie raised three daughters, and their family enjoyed spending time with their Quarter Horses and Tennessee Walking Horses. Now that their children have grown, they enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.
